For years, I thought having big emotions made me spiritually weak. So I stuffed them down and smiled through it. But eventually, that broke me. What saved me wasn’t fixing my feelings; it was finally being honest with God about them. He didn’t push me away. He stayed. That’s one of the reasons I created Holy Focus: to remind us that God can handle everything we bring to Him, especially the messy parts.

Psalm 42:11

"Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God..."

God, thank You for creating me with emotions. Sometimes they’re heavy, confusing, even overwhelming. But I trust that You can handle all of them. Help me feel honestly but live wisely. Let Your truth steady my heart when my feelings shift. Meet me right where I am today. Amen.
